Emergency dental services in Westlake

Every service below happens in our own chairs, by our own dentists. Pick the one that sounds closest to what's going on in your mouth. If you can't tell, call and describe it. That's what the phone is for.

How it works

  1. Call first. Dial (561) 372-2189. Tell us what happened and when it started. If you have a PPO, HMO or Medicare Advantage dental plan, have the card nearby.
  2. We hold you a same-day time. We give you a time to come in today, so a room and a dentist are ready when you pull into the parking lot. We don't take walk-ins, which is why the call matters.
  3. Get examined, then treated. A dentist looks at the tooth, takes the X-ray needed to diagnose it and tells you what's wrong in plain words. You get a written price for treatment before anything starts. When it can be done safely that day, treatment can start in the same visit.

$99 emergency exam and X-ray

If you're paying without insurance, the emergency visit starts at $99. That covers a dentist's exam focused on the problem tooth and the X-ray needed to see what's going on under the gum. You leave knowing what the problem is, what fixing it involves and what it costs.

No treatment begins until you've seen the written price and said yes. Full details are on our cost and insurance page.

Insurance and payment

We accept most PPO and HMO dental plans and Medicare Advantage dental plans. If you have one of those, the exam and X-ray are billed to your plan. Bring your card, or read the member ID to us over the phone.

Paying yourself? We take cash and cards. For bigger treatment we offer in-house payment plans, plus Sunbit, Cherry and CareCredit financing. Ask at the front desk and we'll walk you through the options before you decide.

Frequently asked questions

Can I see an emergency dentist in Westlake today?

Usually, yes. We keep same-day time open for emergencies seven days a week. Call (561) 372-2189 first, tell us what's going on, and we'll give you a time today. On weekdays we're open 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and on Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Do you accept walk-ins?

No. Please call before you come. Calling ahead means an open chair and a dentist waiting, so you aren't sitting in the waiting room while we rearrange the day. It also lets us tell you if your symptoms mean you should go to an emergency room first.

When should I go to the ER instead of a dentist?

Pick the ER first when facial swelling is pushing toward an eye or down the throat, breathing or swallowing is a struggle, a fever has come on with the swelling, or you were hurt in a serious accident. ER at Westlake is close by. Hospitals treat the infection or injury. They generally don't treat the tooth itself, so call us afterward.

What happens if I call after hours?

A real person answers 24/7. They take your name, number and what's wrong, and they hold the first opening for you: 7:00 AM on a weekday or 8:00 AM on a Saturday or Sunday. The office itself is closed outside our posted hours, so the call is how you get in line early.
