Same-Day Emergency Dentist in Westlake: Call First, Seen Today

Yes, you can see a dentist today in Westlake. Phone (561) 372-2189, describe the problem, and a slot gets set aside for you today at our office on Persimmon Blvd W. We're open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

The $99 is a minimum fee for patients paying without insurance. It covers a limited, problem-focused emergency exam (ADA code D0140) and the X-ray needed to diagnose the tooth. Treatment is priced separately and quoted to you in writing before any work starts.

How our call-first system works

We don't run a walk-in clinic. That's on purpose. When you call first, we can plan around you instead of squeezing you into a chair that's already taken.

Front desk with a phone headset and a white orchid, ready for same-day emergency calls in Westlake

Here's what the call does:

  • Gets you a real time. You'll hear when to come in today, not "come by and we'll see."
  • Gets the room ready. A dentist and a treatment room are set aside for your visit.
  • Screens for the ER. If what you describe sounds like a spreading infection or a serious injury, we'll tell you to go to an emergency room first. ER at Westlake is close to our office.
  • Saves time at the desk. If you have insurance, we can take your plan details while you're on the phone.

Calling is quick. Have a sense of which tooth hurts, how long it's been going on, and whether there's swelling or fever.

What counts as a same-day dental emergency?

Plenty of problems deserve a same-day visit:

  • A severe toothache that won't settle
  • Swelling in the gum or face, which may be an abscess
  • A broken or chipped tooth, most of all if it hurts or feels jagged
  • A knocked-out tooth, where every minute counts
  • A lost filling or crown with sensitivity
  • Pain at the back of the jaw from a wisdom tooth
  • Bleeding that won't stop after a dental procedure

If you aren't sure, call anyway. We'd rather talk it through than have you wait at home with an infection.

What happens when you arrive

You park on site and check in. A dentist sees you, asks what's going on, and takes the X-ray needed to diagnose the tooth. Then we explain the problem in plain language.

Before any treatment, you receive a written price. You can ask questions, take a minute or decide on another day. Often the treatment, whether that's a filling, a same-day tooth extraction or the first stage of a root canal, can happen in the same visit if you choose.

Same-day dental cost in Westlake

The emergency visit starts at $99 for patients paying without insurance, which covers the problem-focused exam and the X-ray. With a PPO, HMO or Medicare Advantage dental plan, the exam and X-ray are billed to your plan. Treatment is quoted after the exam.

Payment options include cash, cards, in-house payment plans, and Sunbit, Cherry and CareCredit financing. See cost and insurance for more.

Is there a dentist open now near me?

During our hours, yes. Weekday mornings start at 7:00 AM and evenings run until 7:00 PM, which covers before and after most workdays. Saturdays and Sundays run 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Outside those times the office is closed, but the phone isn't. Someone answers at any hour, writes down what's going on and books you into the earliest slot the next day. That's 7:00 AM on a weekday, or 8:00 AM on a weekend. See our weekend and after-hours page for more.

Frequently asked questions

Can I get a same-day appointment on a weekend?

Yes. We're open Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and we hold same-day time for emergencies then too. Call (561) 372-2189 as early as you can so we can fit you in before 2:00 PM.

Why do I need to call before coming in?

A call means a room and a dentist are ready when you arrive, and it lets us steer you to the ER if your symptoms need it. Walk-ins aren't accepted, so please call first, even if you're already in the car.

Can I get a tooth pulled the same day?

Often, yes. If the exam shows the tooth can't be saved and it's safe to remove today, the extraction can happen in the same visit after you've seen the written price. A badly swollen tooth sometimes needs the infection calmed first.

What if I call after 7:00 PM?

A person answers 24/7. They take your information and hold the first opening for you, which is 7:00 AM the next weekday or 8:00 AM on Saturday or Sunday. If your symptoms sound dangerous, go to the ER first.
